Internship



- Delivering psychological services to students, prospective students as well as learners (Grade R - 7), including psychometric assessment, academic counselling, career development counselling and psychotherapy;

- Presenting workshops;

- Writing psychological reports;

- Conducting intake interviews;

- Performing administrative duties;

- Participating in individual and group supervision;

- Case presentations;

- Relevant research to support case work.

Lewering van sielkundige dienste aan studente, voornemende studente asook skoliere (Gr R – 7), met inbegrip van psigometriese assessering, akademiese voorligting, loopbaanontwikkeling en psigoterapie;







- Die aanbied van werksessies;

- Sielkundige verslagskrywing;

- Inname onderhoude;

- Hantering van administratiewe werk;

- Deelname aan individuele- en groeps-studieleiding;

- Die aanbied van gevallevoordragte;

- Toepaslike navorsing om gevallewerk toe te lig.





- Proof of registration, or proof of successful completion of a structured Master’s programme in Educational Psychology;

- A completed module in Career Counselling at Master’s level;

- Knowledge of and experience in a narrative approach to career counselling;

- A scientific-practical approach to the development of essential skills to foster student success;

- Knowledge of the Children’s Act No. 38 of 2005 and the application thereof;

- Knowledge and experience with regards to therapeutic interventions of younger children and parents;

- Experience in compiling and facilitating group work sessions;

- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Intern Psychologist in Educational Psychology upon appointment;

- Computer proficiency;

- The ability to work under pressure;

- The ability to work effectively in a team;

- The ability to work according to a fixed schedule in a structured environment and deliver a quality service.

Bewys van registrasie, of bewys van voltooiing vir 'n gestruktureerde Magisterprogram in Opvoedkundige Sielkunde;

- Voltooide module in Loopbaanvoorligting op Magistervlak;

- Kennis van en ervaring in die narratiewe benadering tot beroepsvoorligting;

- Wetenskaplik-praktiese benadering tot die ontwikkeling van essensiële vaardighede om studentesukses te bevorder;

- Kennis van die Kinderwet Nr 38 van 2005 en die toepassing daarvan;

- Kennis van en ervaring in terapeutiese intervensies met jonger kinders en ouers;

- Ervaring in die samestelling en fasilitering van werksessies vir groepe;

- Registrasie by die Raad vir Gesondheidsberoepe van Suid-Afrika as Internsielkundige in Opvoedkundige Sielkunde op datum van indiensname;

- Rekenaarvaardigheid;

- Die vermoë om onder druk te werk;

- Die vermoë om effektief binne spanverband te werk;

- Die vermoë om volgens 'n vasgestelde skedule in 'n gestruktureerde omgewing 'n kwaliteitdiens te lewer.





- Work experience within a multidisciplinary professional team;

- Above average written and verbal proficiency in English and one other official South African languag.

Ervaring van werk as lid van 'n multidissiplinêre professionele span;

- Bogemiddelde skriftelike en mondelinge taalvaardigheid in Engels sowel as een van die ander amptelike tale in Suid-Afrika.
