Job Description Background This role is responsible for delivery of a variety of IT services to support business objectives and is individually accountable for achieving results through other managers and their teams (manages service delivery through layers), over periods of 3 months to 1 year. Responsibilities Decisions made have enterprise-wide impacts. Provides operational and tactical focus for IT resources. Generic responsibility in area for financial management, project leadership, people development and performance. Complex programme management, working across multiple workstreams in order to deliver against Banking Strategy.
Contributes to communication and change management within line structures. Provides consultancy services where required. Ensures continuous service and systems security. Responsible for aligning technology and technology support to business needs. Key Result Areas Facilitate team engagements for better efficiency of the team. Bringing stakeholders and team closer to ensure total alignment on work Facilitate the removal of impediments for the team. Facilitate events such as daily stand-up meetings, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and decision-making processes in order to ensure optimal value. Act as a safeguard for the team. Leads team effort in relentless improvement. Builds a high-performing team, focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance, and coaches the team in self-management. Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events. Ability to run and facilitate core meetings and activities: Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, story writing, sizing, prioritising, Daily stand ups, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives Requirements 5-8 years’ Programme Management experience within a complex IT Environment Project Management Qualification Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner Advantageous Professional facilitation skills to empower the team through facilitation. Understand the value of team metrics and keep track of them to drive team performance. Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills. Empower the team through coaching. JIRA/Confluence experience (or other relevant tools). Making work visible though a Sprint board. Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
