Job DescriptionThe role is responsible for providing assistance with Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Limited (OMLAC(SA)) regulatory reporting to the Prudential authority (PA) as well as other Regulatory bodies and stakeholders. The role will report into the OMLACSA Regulatory Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing the quarterly and biannual South African Reserve Bank returns (B03, B16, Institutional Investor Survey, FDIS, C68). Preparing the quarterly ASISA submission. Performing analytical reviews to explain quarterly movements as reported in the SARB returns.
Creating and maintaining the list of local and foreign instruments and ensuring alignment of this across all the SARB returns. Working closely with the Investment Repository team to ensure that all assets are correctly reported for SARB reporting (ie. Asset categorization, sector categorization, etc) Driving the process to collate information from the Business Units that is required for the various regulatory returns. Preparing the SAM quarterly and annual premiums and policy counts QRT’s. Providing assistance with the preparation of other adhoc regulatory reports or requests. Adhering to very strict timelines to meet deadlines. Requirements, Qualifications and Experience required Recent BCom/Business Science graduate Or relevant commerce degree/diploma with minimum 2 years working experience in financial services HFM and Oracle experience advantageous Attention to detail Ability to work with large volumes of data Strong analytical skills Good communication skills Able to assimilate a significant amount of information Work under pressure in stressful environment Motivated self-starter Team player Skills EducationBachelors Degree (B): Finance Closing Date16 September 2021
