Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Executive to join our team, specializing in international courier services. This role is perfect for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in B2B sales, specifically in the import and export sectors. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of courier express services, airfreight, customs procedures, and incoterms, with a proven track record of driving sales in an international context.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow our international courier services business.
- Identify and target potential clients in need of import and export services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Provide expert advice on courier express and airfreight services, including guidance on customs procedures and incoterms.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate services based on commodity type and international shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service execution and client satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 1 - 7+ years of international courier sales experience/domestic courier sales experience.
- Proven experience in B2B sales of import and export services, including courier express and airfreight.
- In-depth understanding of customs procedures, incoterms, and international shipping regulations.
- Strong arithmetic skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Matric - plus diploma in sales/ logistics advantages.
Package & Remuneration
- Semi-remote role with required attendance at the East Rand office once or twice a week.
