Job Description
- Develop and enhance the software requirements of the business to meet the growing demands by developing integrated solutions to solve the factories needs.
- The position will be required to come up with new ideas and better ways of solving day to day problems that the business faces.
- Along with other team members, the candidate needs to ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all information technology systems within the company.
- Grow into a hybrid of a developer with IT management ability.
- Ensure the IT department is run smoothly with the direction given to the IT technician and the Syspro Administrator.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology (or similar)
Skills
- Possess strong skills and knowledge in web-based programming (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP) for interfacing with MSSQL and MySQL databases.
- Strong knowledge & experience in SQL programming querying MSSQL & MySQL databases
- Knowledge & experience with Delphi, C/C++, C# & Python specifically is beneficial, but proficiency in any language will be advantageous
- Maintain and improve existing custom-written programs (e.g., QAR system, Annexure 1 system, SIMS, Adam HMI's, Real-time Alerting program, Reporting program).
- Manage and migrate systems from old to new revisions Oversee potential migrations of Exchange, SQL, domain controller, file server, and other systems to the cloud.
- Support all IT software systems within the company (e.g., Microsoft, SysPro, CuroQuip, TransLution, VIP).
