Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems on pump trucks.
- Diagnose and resolve auto-electrical faults, including issues with wiring, sensors, and control systems specific to pump truck operations.
- Perform calibration and regular adjustments to ensure the accurate functioning of sensors and instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems such as starters, alternators, batteries, and lighting systems on pump trucks.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards during all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of all equipment.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all repairs, calibrations, and maintenance activities.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on the proper use and troubleshooting of pump truck instrumentation systems.
Requirements:
- Technical Qualification:
Diploma or trade certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an Instrument Technician.
- Proven experience working with auto-electrical systems on pump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing auto-electrical issues.
- Expertise in the calibration and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work in demanding environments and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel when assistance is required at various sites.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry required.
- Knowledge of advanced control systems such as PLCs highly advantageous.
