About the End Client:
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) is a state-owned entity responsible for managing and maintaining South Africa's national road network. Established in 1998, SANRAL's core focus is to enhance the country's road infrastructure to foster economic development and provide safer, more efficient transport.
SANRAL is at the forefront of integrating technology into traffic management, with their Data Centre in Midrand serving as a hub for the country's road infrastructure and traffic operations. Kapsch SA partners with SANRAL in supporting the management of national roads, providing vital data center operations and technical support.
Role Requirements:
- Matric (High School Diploma)
- Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment as a Senior Linux Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Linux platform support within the SANRAL Data Centre
- Perform system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for Linux environments
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth operation of systems and infrastructure
- Implement and manage server configurations, security updates, and performance tuning
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in enterprise-level Linux system administration
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with good communication skills
