The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing purchasing processes, working to ensure that materials and services are procured at the best quality and price. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, who can contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to obtain the best terms possible.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet their purchasing needs.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and keep up with industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of best practices in procurement and supply chain processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
