Introduction
Kempston Employment Solutions is looking for a Junior Field Service Technician in the East Rand area.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Technical Execute technical and other duties assigned at customer sites
2. Working Environment Ensuring that all tools and machinery are in working order and report damaged or lost tools
3. Using a checklist, vehicles need to be checked once a month to ensure that all tools are accounted for and in good working order, that the vehicle itself is in good working order and whether there is unaccounted stock in the vehicles.
4. The tidiness and cleanliness of the vehicle is to be upheld at all times.

All safety equipment / safety clothing and safety requirements have to be checked on a monthly basis and replaced or repaired where necessary.
6. Maintaining a clean, clear, tidy working environment at all times Considering your own safety as well as that of your co-workers at all times
7. Customer Service Ensuring customer satisfaction in every aspect of your duties.
8. Be aware of the customer, the respect you show and how you interact.
9. You are a representative of the company
10. Always try to exceed the customer’s expectation by “under promise and over deliver” Ensure that you look presentable when interacting with a client
11. Always strive for exceptional customer service Team Responsibilities Assisting team members outside of your scope of duty if the need arises
12. Always show curtesy, respect and friendliness towards your team members Lead by example
13. Be open to suggestions and advice from team members and management
14. Repairs, maintenance and servicing of all mechanical and electrical parts on all types of doors and docking equipment
15.
Adhering to strict installation quality control measures to ensure high standard of product and installation
16. Ensuring that each installation is professionally handed over to the client together with senior management if necessary
Desired Experience & Qualification
1. Grade 12 (with English & Mathematics) or equivalent Technical Trade Certificate
2. Minimum 2-3 years as Apprentice Field Service Technician or Minimum of 2-3 years technical, electrical or industrial working experience
3. Physically capable to perform installations by passing a full medical exam annually
4. Show energy and enthusiasm in performing duties
5. Be able to handle tasks timeously and of a very high standard
6.
Show initiative and be willing to assist beyond own area of responsibility
7. Ability to solve problems and find solutions
8. Understand and be able to interpret, explain and implement instructions
9. Fluent in English
