**Key Outputs**
- Lead the effort within the Dealership to grow Parts Product revenue and achieve goals agreed to with Dealer management
- Establish Dealership targets for profit/loss and margins
- Lead and opportunity identification, qualification, development, and closure
- Lead and participate in sales meetings and present information on inventory, finance, marketing, and new product updates of the Parts Product class
- Establish business performance benchmark parameters and ensure they are kept current and effectively communicated internally and externally
- Achieve expertise in the Parts Product through training, research, and continual learning including new product introductions (NPI), improvements,
and Parts Product extensions
- Promote recommended solutions to customers in concert with the PSSR or ISR.
Support BWE team sell the Parts Product in partnership with PSSRs, ISRs, Parts Counter Sales, and others
- Track significant activities of Parts Product class competitors in the Dealer's territory and the product performance of the Dealer's offerings in the Parts Product class
- Provide expertise to assist the Dealership with the analysis, implementation, and support of the Parts Product initiatives
- Manage expenses and investments including parts inventory and marketing
- Recommend Caterpillar and Dealer solutions to customers based on research
- Provide support and guidance to personnel within the Service Department, Customer Support Agreement (CSA) Department, Machine Sales team, Product Support team, Parts Operations, and Marketing
- Identify, create, deploy, and oversee achievement of marketing programs at the Dealership designed to increase business in the Parts Product class
- Facilitate the development and execution of merchandising programs
- Provide recommendations and partner with the Dealer Inventory Control Manager for the Parts Product class, manage expenses and inventory investment
- Use software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) to analyse data, create recommendations, and propose solutions to customers
- Prepare written reports and recommendations as required by the Dealership
- Provide training in the Parts Product class for ISRs, PSSRs, Parts Counter Sales, MSRs, and others as required by the Dealership
- Develop and maintain detailed information concerning Parts Product usage and practices
- Conduct field follow and field tests on Parts Product(s) represented
- Submit competitive pricing and product information to develop value comparisons to Caterpillar
- Work with Machine Sales Department on Parts Product selection for new machines
- Work with Dealership in identifying short
- and long-term strategy for represented Parts Product(s)
**Qualification, Experience and Competencies**
**Minimum Required Qualification**
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (NQF Level 6) / Technical trade with experience in an equipment sales environment
- B.
Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Mining / Electrical) an advantage
- BWE Leadership Development Course (MMDP) / Project Management / Marketing qualification an advantage
- A minimum of 3 years' related business experience in parts/service environment
- PSSR Advanced Certification Completion (advantageous)
**Minimum Required Experience**
- Competence in Microsoft Office
- Proven CAT Product Knowledge
