Full job description
Purpose of the position
The Systems Analyst (Front Office) is responsible for understanding requirements and processes, collaborating with the Operations, Enterprise Solutions, Trading, and Investment teams to develop, implement, and maintain solutions that deliver Trade & Data solutions which supports the investment processes, ultimately creating efficiencies.

effectively within our dynamic team environment.
The successful candidate will form part of the Trade and Data Operations team, and report to the Manager of Investment Operations.
Key responsibilities of the position
These responsibilities outline the diverse role of a Systems Analyst within the Front Office support function, focusing on ensuring effective trade and data solutions to support
investment processes and operational efficiency.
- Analysing Front Office (CRD) and inter-related applications (Warehouse, Back-Office) to examine Front Office needs with timely and effective solutions for trading and trade related data;
- Conducting systematic investigation and analysis of trade and data management functions and processes within the Front Office environment;
- Documenting processes and workflows to ensure clarity and understanding.
- Providing technical support to the front office users;
- Troubleshooting issues and problems that arise in the systems related to data management and trading solutions;
- Researching and evaluating new features and tools that can enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the Charles River Investment Management System
(CRIMS);
- Supporting the Trade and Data Operations team with Business As Usual queries, and process enhancements;
- Creating and test configuration changes to CRIMS in development environment;
- Supporting project teams in identifying and shaping opportunities, through the change management process;
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for Front office and trading solutions and platforms;
Reviewing and analysing system problems, identifying solutions or making recommendations; and
- Participating in team meetings to discuss progress, updates, and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance,
Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline).
- Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or Certificate in Agile Analysis through the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) would be an advantage.
Knowledge and experience required
- 3 - 5 years of business / system analysis work experience;
- Trade support and Charles River (CRIMS) experience;
- Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management;
- Proven knowledge & experience would be an advantage; and
- Excellent MS office skills including Word, Excel and SharePoint Online.
