This position will oversee quality control and assurance, ensuring products / services meet high standards. This role requires managing the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
MUST HAVE WORKED IN THE RUBBER OR AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY BEFORE.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Lead initiatives for ongoing quality enhancements across the organization.
- Collaborate with line management to set priorities for factory improvements.
- Implement QMS procedures, ensuring compliance and reducing customer complaints.
- Develop policies to identify and mitigate risks in various departments.
- Manage responses to complaints,
including containment actions and root cause analysis.
- Track and report on quality metrics regularly in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function.
- Preparation of annual audit schedule as per QMS requirements.
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
- Verify corrective and preventive actions and initiate actions to close out the Non-Conformance Report's raised during the internal and external audits.
- Responsible for the periodic internal audits to verify the QMS system is implemented.
- Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing) and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures.
- Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns in new customer contracts.
- Report against agreed quality metrics monthly and in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function.
- Reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the Quality area
- Train in all aspects of the Health & Safety environment and Quality system and application procedures.
- Manage Quality team in sign off of parts and the resolution of internal / external quality concerns.
Requirements
- B-Tech Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IATF16949:2016, ISO14001:2015, ISO9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 APQP, PPAP
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Rubber manufacturing / Automotive industry
- Leadership and team management experience.
- High level of computer literacy and Business acumen
- Exceptional communication, and presentation skills
