A company based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Junior Production Design Engineer to join their company.
Requirements:
- BSc / BEng Mechanical or suitable architectural qualification specializing in retail design and manufacturing or equivalent practical experience.
- SolidWorks Experience (1-3 years), Swood Experience
- 1-2 years industry specific (advantageous)
Responsibilities:
Critical Decision making:
- Understand Manufacturing and Production workflows and assist in the decision-making
- process.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Planning and Organizing:
- Ensure on time delivery for Production and Handover to client.
- The Engineer will need to work towards project specific timelines.
- Create 3D models and drawing packs for Manufacturing purposes.
- Any reasonable request from management including Technical Engineering, ad hoc projects
