Criteria
- Tertiary degree in the relevant fields
- Sales experience
- Experience with travelling in Africa (Valid Passport)
- Experience with exports.
- Able to speak French or Portuguese - Beneficiary
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Promotion of sales, conversions and rentals of our products, so as to meet budget expectations.
- Preparation and submission of quotations to existing and prospective clients.
- General market development, identifying potential new clients and making efforts to secure their business.
- Manage existing clients, identify new clients in Africa and make every effort to secure their business.
- Perform administrative functions to complete the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting,
customer database maintenance and data entry, correspondence).
- Proactively call on accounts on targeted lists through utilization of the customer database.
- Build on the customer database within targeted market segments via, prospecting, networking, email/e-marketing, or utilizing Internet information sources.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities for current and future clients.
- Staying abreast of developments within the industry and keeping current with new technologies, competitors, complementary products and potential clients within the industry.
- Keeping the Manager of your Sales Division updated with developments in both the industry and the division in the form of reports compiled on at least a monthly basis, after every marketing trip and prior to management and board meetings.
- Ensure KPIs are achieved as per the positions KPI Schedule.
Key Performance Indicators
Retention and Engagement with Existing Clientele
- At least once a month,
calling upon existing clients (via telephone, email, psychical interaction etc.)
- Promoting current product offerings through various channels
- Targets to be set and agreed upon by Manager
- Written reports to be provided to Manager
- Consistent Sales and Rental figures posted
- Ensuring sufficient margins are achieved
New Business Development
- Sourcing of new business and leads
- Cold-calling and visiting new business leads
- Targets to be set and agreed upon by Manager
- Written reports to be provided to Manager
- Identifying areas of our current business where we lack and developing a plan to address these
- Plans would need to be presented to your superior, and then, subject to approval, you will be required to follow through appropriately.
- Promotion of Self-Storage facilities (where applicable)
Management Training
- On the job training as promoted by the Manager example would be to act as 2IC in Managers absence, and taking junior staff and /or projects under your wing
- Formal training through Educational Institutions
Systems
- Expected to have complete familiarity with existing Container World IT systems and methodology (Including CRM)
Marketing / Advertising
- Assist in the compiling of advertising material and targeting of products to be promoted in their region
