Our client in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, has a Business Analyst role available (midlevel to senior).This role is open to African Females only.Job Overview: As a Business Analyst you will be pivotal in helping our stakeholders achieve their business objectives through technology.
Your work will directly impact the design and sale of our life insurance products, ensuring they are flexible, simple, and of great value.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of technology trends, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Key Responsibilities: 1.
Client Engagement: •Collaborate with clients to gather and document business requirements.
•Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to identify business needs and challenges. •Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business goals and objectives. 2. Business Analysis: •Analyse and map business processes to identify areas for improvement. •Develop functional specifications and business cases for proposed solutions. •Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the impact of proposed changes. 3.
Solution Design: •Work with technical teams to design and develop technology solutions that meet business requirements. •Develop wireframes, process flows, and user stories to guide the development process. •Ensure solutions are aligned with industry best practices and client standards. 4.
Project Management: •Assist in the planning and execution of projects, including timeline management and resource allocation. •Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. •Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. 5.
Data Analysis and Reporting: •Use data analytics tools to analyse business data and generate insights. •Prepare client reports and presentations, highlighting key findings and recommendations. •Support clients in implementing and optimising technology solutions. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. •2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technology or consulting environment. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas. •Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and business process modelling.
•Knowledge of current technology trends and their application in business contexts. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities. Preferred Qualifications: •Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. •Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP). •Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) and digital transformation projects. •Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
