Our client in Port Elizabeth, seeks to employ an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong commercial background in citrus exports to Asia. The ideal candidate must be capable of supporting the company’s dynamic and fast-paced environment and have the ability to cooperate in a diverse team.
Job Description:
1. Manage current and new business relationships effectively.
2. Grow sales in Asian markets and increase group’s market share in these markets.
3. Have market presence and regularly travel to markets to visit existing customers and develop new sales channels.
4. Collaborate with the procurement team to identify sourcing opportunities and visit pack houses and growers regularly along with the procurement team.
5.
Provide regular market updates to procurement team and growers.
6. Identification and pursuit of opportunities to expand business.
7. Analysis of sales and finance reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth
8. Operational and Administrative Setup: Maintain transparency with continuous reporting, including price estimates, collection follow-ups, sales accounts, and cost management.
RequirementsRequirements:
1. Tertiary Qualification preferably in Agriculture, Logistics; Finance or Marketing.
2. Marketing and/ or sales experience in Asian markets.
3. Experience in growing sales.
4. Proven record of ability to build strong business relationships.
5. Product knowledge of citrus.
6. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the fruit industry.
7. Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office.
