Job Description
A very well sought-after engineering consultancy firm is urgently on the lookout for an associate-level Structural Engineer with mining and petrochemical experience.
The successful candidate needs :
Relevant Civil & Structural Engineering Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 15-20 years of post-graduate experience,
5-10 of which post-registration
Post Graduate Degree will be advantageous, professionally registered with ECSA is mandatory
At least 5-10 years of experience managing design teams & working with clients
Proven business development experience, design & project leading experience
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment is a must
A solid background in the design of petrochemical & mining structures
Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of structural analysis software
Technical - Advantageous
Must understand structural modelling software (e.g., Prokon, Strant7, SAFE and possibly Space Gas or the like)
Proven knowledge and experience of the relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices
Seismic design experience (preferred)
Proven mining project execution experience, Strong wining work, client facing capability and experience
Confident, well-spoken, self-starter, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.
Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels)
