My client is a leading company in the creation of exciting and innovative Point of Sale solutions. Known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Print Production and Artwork Specialist to join their dynamic team at their Dube Tradepost facility in Durban North.
Job Description:
The Print Production and Artwork Specialist will be responsible for managing the print production process, ensuring high-quality output, and providing expert artwork support. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire print production workflow,
from pre-press to final output.
- Ensure all printed materials meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare and optimize artwork files for print production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to print production.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, including proofs, corrections, and final outputs.
- Stay updated with the latest print technologies and industry trends.
- Liaise with suppliers and printers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
- Assist in the development of print production schedules and budgets.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in print production and artwork management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of print processes, including digital and offset printing.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field.
- Experience with colour management and proofing systems.
- Knowledge of print finishing techniques (e.g., binding, laminating, die-cutting).
