Position: Senior Payroll Administrator
Position Reports to: HR Manager

Purpose of the Role:
A Senior Payroll Administrator in IGT Solutions South Africa plays a crucial role in managing
payroll processes for an organization. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that employees






are paid accurately and on time while also adhering to South African labour laws and tax
regulations.

The successful candidate will report and work closely with the Senior HR Manager.

1. Payroll Processing and reporting

- Administer and process payroll for all employees, including data entry, salary calculations, deductions, and overtime.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, submitting data to third-party vendors as required.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring data integrity.
- Serve as the monthly payroll lead, ensuring payroll data is submitted on time and reviewed for accuracy; review monthly variance reports.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Compiling of monthly payroll reports for internal stakeholders.

2. Benefit Administration

- Manage employee benefits, including medical insurance, medical aid, and voluntary deductions.
- Address employee queries and concerns related to their benefits.

3. Leave Management

- Reconcile leave records and ensure accurate leave balances.






- Provide monthly leave balance updates to key internal stakeholders.

4. Payroll Audits

- Perform ad hoc payroll audits to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with annual payroll audits involving external stakeholders.

5. Statutory Compliance

- Stay updated on South African labour laws, tax regulations, and payroll-related legislation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
- Generate and submit payroll-related reports to government authorities.

6. Record Keeping

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll records.
- Generate payroll reports as needed by management and finance teams.

7. Support and Communication

- Provide assistance and support to employees with payroll-related inquiries.






- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll and employee-related issues.
- Manage monthly engagement with internal stakeholders to identify any process gaps/opportunities for improvement and to manage any escalations.
- Coordinate and engage with global teams on a monthly basis to discuss and address various payroll processes.

8. Continuous Improvement

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll operations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in payroll management.

- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Senior Payroll Administrator or similar role, preferably in the BPO industry.
- Experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees.






- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws related to remuneration.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- Relevant certification in payroll administration or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and within a team context
- Strong multi-tasking ability and resilient
