Position: Senior Account Manager - Utility-Scale Sales
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Overview:
Our client seeks a Senior Account Manager to drive PV, inverter, and BESS sales in the utility-scale market. The role involves developing new and managing relationships with key players such as developers, integrators, utilities, EPCs, and operators. This senior role reports to the Vice President and CEO of the MEA Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the company's products, including inverters and BESS, to target markets in Southern Africa.
- Develop sales strategies for large-scale PV and energy storage projects.
- Focus on generating new business with key accounts and maintaining customer relationships.
- Lead contract negotiations and coordinate internal resources for project success.
- Track sales opportunities, provide forecasts, and review results to meet targets.
- Gather customer feedback to assist product management and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Attend trade shows and events to network and promote the company's offerings.
- Monitor and analyze regional market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of sales experience in the PV industry, especially in utility-scale projects.
- Strong background in C&I; and B2B sales, with large project experience.
- Familiarity with top EPCs, distributors, and Southern African market dynamics.
- High professionalism, goal orientation, and ambition.
- Fluent in English and willing to travel extensively.
- South African work permit, visa, or PR is preferred.
