Position: Senior Project Manager and Scrum Master
Department: Enterprise Management Solutions
Location: Cape Town, Bellville (Hybrid)
This is a 6 month contract role

About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager.
This person will manage software development projects where the project involves managing more than project team in the organisation. This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated, structured, analytical individual with strong people and project management skills. The successful applicant must be comfortable with working in a dynamic, diverse, fast paced, continually evolving and results-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scope and objectives
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop and maintain detailed plan to track progress and to provide status feedback to stakeholders
- Manage key deliverables/tasks with internal team
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Perform risk management, manage risks and escalate when needed
- Manage several projects concurrently (multi-tasking)
- Provide day-to-day stakeholder liaison and be responsible for relationship management, project management and delivery
- Manage resource allocation levels
- Escalate commercial issues, where appropriate, including potential business opportunities
- Play an active role in the Project Chapter - collaborating with peer group
- Financial management of project

Qualifications and key competencies:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in related field
- PMP/PRINCE II experience/certification will be advantageous
- At least 5 years work experience in an IT Project Manager role in a fast-paced software development environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be well organised and understand the product development process
- Proven experience running large or multiple projects
- Proven experience managing project budgets
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a desire to drive continuous improvement through the project lifecycle
- Excellent people management skills and the ability to demonstrate stakeholder management responsibilities.
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Ability to facilitate and manage stakeholder expectations
- Flexibility whilst giving rigorous attention to detail
