Job Specification: Para Planner / Financial Adviser Assistant
Position: Para Planner
Location: Umhlanga, KZN / JHB
Reports to: Wealth Manager
Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Para Planner to support a Wealth Manager. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering high-quality financial planning services, ensuring clients receive exceptional support as they work towards their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Support: Assist the Wealth Manager in preparing for client meetings, including gathering and analyzing client data, and creating financial plans and reports.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on investment products, market trends,
and client portfolios to provide insights and recommendations.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate financial documents, including proposals, investment strategies, and performance reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Coordination: Liaise with various departments (e.g., compliance, operations) to facilitate the seamless execution of financial strategies. Will include dealing with other investment and insurance companies to obtain investment statements and to manage transfers.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on financial products, industry trends, and regulatory changes to provide informed support to the Wealth Manager and clients.
- Marketing: Manage the following client engagement platforms on behalf of the Wealth Manager:
- LinkedIn social media platform,
- Monthly client newsletter management,
- Monthly client investment reports.
Qualifications:
- RE 5 - Not Negotiable
- NQF5> In financial Planning - Not Negotiable
- OR
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) or willingness to pursue further qualifications - Preferable
- 3-5 years proven experience in financial planning, investment analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Required proficiency in financial planning software:
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Blueprint
- CRM Software (Salesforce)
- Astute
- STANLIB Online
