Our client, a leading Manufacturing/Production company based in Umhlanga, is looking to fill the position of Mobility Specialist (International Immigrations / Relocations).
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the successful incumbent will be responsible for managing and coordinating the relocation and assignment of employees across various international locations. This role requires a deep understanding of global mobility policies, immigration laws, tax regulations, and cultural differences. The Mobility Specialist will work closely with HR, finance, and legal departments to ensure a smooth and compliant relocation process.
The successful candidate will be handling the transfers of employees and business travels between South Africa and China, including Visas' applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with HR, finance, and legal departments to facilitate relocations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees throughout the relocation process.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for relocation services.
- Conduct pre-departure briefings and orientation sessions for relocating employees.
- Monitor and manage relocation budgets and expenses.
- Handle visa and work permit applications and renewals.
- Assist with tax equalization and compensation adjustments for international assignments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all relocations.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of global mobility processes and policies.
- Provide training and support to HR teams on global mobility matters.
- Stay updated on global mobility trends and best practices.
- Resolve any issues or challenges related to employee relocations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on global mobility activities and metrics.
- Support the development of a positive employee experience during relocations.
- Ensure a smooth and compliant repatriation process for returning employees.
- Collaborate with other departments to support global talent management initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- SAQA accredited Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, international relations, or a related field is advantageous
- 2 - 3 years of proven experience as an International Mobility Specialist or in a similar role,
managing international mobility programs and assignments
- Social media savvy
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
