Primary School Head of English
Permanent King David Primary School Linksfield is seeking a dynamic, innovative, passionate and experienced Head of English with relevant qualifications, for this position.
The essential qualities, skills and requirements for the position are:
- An appropriate academic degree/qualification is essential.
- Teaching experience in Senior Primary English (3-5 years).
- Expertise in English, both in literature and language instruction.
- Experience in team mentoring/leadership within an academic setting (3-5 years).
- Track record of leading and motivating a high performance team (3-5 years).
- Experience in English curriculum development.
- Perform regular teaching duties, break duties and extra murals.
- A passion for education and the desire to motivate and stimulate higher order thinking amongst highly capable learners.
- Excellent communication skills and classroom management.
- The ability to use and integrate technology into the classroom where appropriate.
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Competence in terms of computer literacy in Word, Excel and Power-point.
- Registered with SACE.
- Prepared to embrace the ethos of a Jewish Day School.
