An exciting opportunity is opening at a Storage Company in Midrand,they are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Manager to join the team.

Overall Job Purpose:

The primary objective of an HR Manager is to supervise and administer diverse components of human resources in the company.

The role encompasses a range of vital tasks and objectives such as recruitment and staffing, skills enhancement, maintaining employee conduct, handling compensation and benefits, managing attendance, leave and overtime, nurturing employee relations, upholding health and safety standards, establishing and enforcing HR policies, overseeing performance evaluations, fostering employee involvement, producing HR reports,





facilitating employee communications, safeguarding confidentiality, ensuring HR conformity and fairness, preparation for payroll, and carrying out all administrative related HR tasks.

The HR Manager holds an important function in steering the human resources domain, promoting employee growth and commitment, ensuring adherence to regulations, while boosting the overall prosperity of the organization.

Key Areas:

- Keeping current with the Labour Law of SA.

- Creating & Updating HR policies & procedures.
- Updating all HR Handbooks.
- Updating all HR related templates (Employment contracts, job descriptions, inductions, KPA's, warnings, disciplinary, grievance forms, letters etc).
- Recruiting (Placing Employment ads, sifting cvs, appointing candidates, preparing contracts & job descriptions, signing of contracts, scanning & filing of all employee documentation).
- Preparing for new employee's commencement.
- Fixed Term Contracts, probations and induction management (requesting progress reports from Managers).






- Managing all employee benefits.
- Salary increases and year-end bonuses.
- Payroll setup and monthly payroll preparation and management, issuing payslips, IRP5's.
- Construction Wages payroll.
- Timekeeping and late comings.
- Management of employee leave, expiring leave, habitual leave tracking, overtime and unpaid leave. Arranging replacements for absenteeism. Managing task handover lists from Managers.
- All employee grievances, abscondments, incapacity etc.
- Managing all disciplinary procedures (counselling, warnings, suspensions, disciplinary hearings, CCMA hearings etc).
- Liasing with Company Bookkeeper for payroll.
- Liasing with Company Labour Consultants.
- Preparing employee promotions, transfers and contract amendments.






- Employee relations and overall well-being of employees.
- Fostering employee involvement.
- Facilitating employee communications.
- Managing Employee Performance Reviews.
- Skills development.
- Handling labour compensation claims.
- Arranging employee functions, team building, course training, service gifts etc.
- Labour Equity preparation.
- Staff compliment update.
- Managing employee exits (resignations, disciplinaries, dismissals, retirements, retrenchments, abscondments) and managing procedures for employee exits.
- Managing of Health and Safety and filling the role of company's OHS Officer.
- Managing the shared-drive ensuring documents are accurately filed and up to date at all times.
- Reporting,





and feedback to Management continuously and summarised in monthly presentations.

Experience:

- Grade 12
- HR Qualification
- For the HR Manager position, extensive HR experience is required to ensure effective management of key functions such as recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of South African labor law, conflict resolution, and policy compliance, which are essential for addressing workplace issues and minimizing legal risks.






- Experience in aligning HR strategies with business objectives is necessary to drive organizational success, and proven leadership skills are crucial for leading HR teams and implementing HR initiatives.

Computer Literacy: Proficiency in software to track sales and productivity. Familiarity with spreadsheets and presentation software to aid report creation and effective organization of HR data. MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) , Liberty benefit software.

Other Requirements:

- Own Transportation: The candidate must have access to reliable transportation for commuting to and from the office located in Midrand. Proximity to the workplace is preferable. Candidate is also required to travel to all RAS branches from time to time for HR meetings or training.





Own vehicle and valid driver's licence preferable.
- Physical and Mental Health: Good physical and mental health to cope with the demands of the role effectively.
- Assessments: Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in a one-day assessment, which may include practical tasks and a brief interview to assess suitability for the role.

Salary range:

R25,000

R500 (Travel allowance)

R 300 (Airtime allowance)

Total Cost to Company = R 25, 800 per month.
