We are recruiting for an experienced Stores Assistant to join our dynamic team based in Morningside, Durban.
Summary of Job
- Packing of orders.
- Monitoring of stock.
- Loading stock codes.
- Ad hoc duties.
- General warehouse assistant.
KPA
- Treat your respective merchandise groups as if it were your own business.
- Ensure that you are counting every day to ensure stock is always accurate.
- Count the complete category twice in a month.
- Housekeeping standards to be adhered to
- i.e. clean and keep neat all items on display
- Stock rooms to be labelled correctly.
- Assist in merchandising of dead and toxic stock when applicable.
- Identify dead stock in merch. cat that has not sold .
- Accountability to all stock losses, i.e.
if no valid reason for a shortage.
- Housekeeping standards to be adhered to

- To not undermine fellow members in the form of “stealing sales”, this will be dealt with severely if caught. The end result needs to be a happy customer from whom we have maximized the sale for the benefit of the business
- Report timeously for work as per hours agreed
- Avoid at all costs any idle time, there is always work that needs to be done or can be done
General
- An area of the showroom and warehouse will be assigned to you to be taken care of. At all times. This are needs to be kept neat, tidy and dust free at all times
- Always clean up after yourself when using the kitchen ie no food lying around, wash dishes etc.
- In broader terms you will be required to assist in whatever manner necessary to maintain the smooth operation of the business; to provide an excellent standard of service to customers, and to create wealth for stakeholders. You will be required to apply your efforts and energy to the expression of the vision and values of the business.
As the nature of the business changes, it may be necessary to change or reallocate duties and/or job descriptions and/or job functions. You may also be required to perform duties not directly related to your position as and when dictated by the requirements of the business.
