The school has an active Psychology discipline with a strong research profile, and a large number of postgraduate students with vibrant postgraduate research programme.The incumbent will be expected to contribute to teaching and research within the discipline of Psychology. She/he will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum development, and supervise postgraduate students The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader:
Psychology.
Senior Lecturer: PhD degree in Psychology or a related field.A professional Masters degree in Educational /Clinical /Counselling or Research Psychology.Three (3) years working experience in either Teaching, Lecturing, Research or Industry (in the relevant field or discipline).Evidence of current and sustained research publication record in quality scientific journals, appropriate for the level.A track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Masters and/or PhD level as appropriate for the level.Demonstrated ability to apply for research grants, either as the Principal Investigator or as a member of a team.Evidence of registration with the Health Professions Council as a Registered Counsellor With at least 3 years of experience post-registration.Lecturer:A PhD degree in the relevant discipline OR Master’s degree in the relevant discipline, with evidence of submission of PhD for examination.
A professional Masters degree in Educational/Clinical/Counselling or Research Psychology. Experience in teaching and/or tutoring in a relevant field at tertiary level.Evidence of presentations at national or international conferences.Current research activity as evidenced by publication(s) in quality scientific journals.Evidence of registration with the Health Professions Council as a Registered Counsellor With at least 1-2 years’ experience post-registration.
