Introduction

The Sentech MEDIA Business Unit require the services of a Head: Digital Platforms to lead and oversee the strategic development and implementation of innovative digital media initiatives. The Head of Digital Platforms will be involved in driving the adoption of new media technologies and platforms, as well as the creation of engaging and dynamic content for diverse digital channels.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Strategic New Media Development
• Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for new media initiatives to enhance digital presence and engagement.
• Identifying and leveraging emerging digital media technologies and platforms to optimise content delivery and audience reach.






• Monitoring market trends and consumer behaviour to adapt new media strategies and content creation accordingly.
• Establishing and managing strategic partnerships to enhance digital media content and distribution.
• Creating and managing a budget for new media development initiatives while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Content Creation and Distribution
• Overseeing the creation and curation of engaging digital content across various platforms, including social media, websites, and other online channels.
• Ensuring the development of multimedia content that aligns with brand objectives and resonates with target audiences.
• Implementing content distribution strategies to maximise visibility and engagement with digital media content.
• Tracking and analysing content performance metrics to refine content creation and distribution approaches.
• Implementing content quality standards and best practices to maintain consistency and relevance across digital media platforms.







Data Driven Insights and Analytics
• Utilising data analytics tools to track and analyse digital media performance metrics, including user engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
• Deriving actionable insights from data analysis to optimise digital media strategies and content distribution approaches.
• Implementing A/B testing and other methodologies to refine digital media campaigns and content delivery.
• Utilising data-driven insights to personalise content and improve audience targeting and segmentation.
• Communicating data-driven insights to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Digital Marketing and Audience Engagement






• Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to promote digital media content effectively.
• Leveraging SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing to enhance audience engagement and reach.
• Engaging with the audience through interactive and personalised content experiences to build brand loyalty and foster a strong online community.
• Implementing strategies to encourage user-generated content and enhance user participation in digital media campaigns.
• Monitoring and responding to audience feedback and inquiries to maintain a positive brand image and strengthen audience relationships.

Leadership
• Establish leadership and mentorship to the Media team.
• Drive a collaborative and high-performance work environment,





ensuring that each team member is aligned with the business's objectives.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the New Media business segment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Candidates should have the following:
• Honours degree in Digital Media, Media Studies, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years in implementing successful digital media strategies across various platforms, with a minimum of 5 years in a middle management role.
● Proven track record in developing and implementing successful digital media strategies across various platforms.
● Extensive experience in managing digital content creation, curation, and distribution, including proficiency in leveraging multimedia content for effective storytelling.






● Demonstrated expertise in utilising analytics and data-driven insights to optimise digital media campaigns and improve audience engagement.
● Experience in building and managing a strong team of digital content creators, marketers, and social media specialists.

Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of various digital media platforms, including social media, streaming services, and other online content distribution channels.
• Proficiency in creating and curating engaging and dynamic digital content, including text, video, and multimedia formats.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tactics, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing, to effectively promote and distribute digital content.






• Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques for monitoring, analysing, and optimising digital media performance and audience engagement.
• Familiarity with emerging trends and best practices in new media, including knowledge of evolving digital platforms, social media trends, and content marketing strategies.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the digital media industry, including virtual reality, augmented reality, and interactive content formats, to stay at the forefront of digital innovation.
