Introduction
Our client, a distributor of fluid control products, is looking for an energetic and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the full warehouse function.
Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing Warehouse staff
- Support the Sales department
- Manage & Control stock
- Receiving and despatching of stock
- Assuring that each day’s stock received is checked and processed
- Handling all stock related queries
- Housekeeping, ensuring that the warehouse is neat and tidy
- Ensure that cycle counts are performed on a regular basis
- Handling stock take
- Checking correction of stock delivered or collected by customers
- Supervising over staff in the warehouse
- Route planning
Desired Experience & Qualification
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager is essential
- Knowledge of steel pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, pumps and irrigation fittings is essential
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Of sober habits
- Physically fit
- Strong supervisory skills
- Good moral and written communication skills
- The ability to be proactive and take the initiative
- Experience in Microsoft packages and Syspro
- Able to work retail hours, including Saturdays and Public Holidays on a roster basis
