The Consultant: Finance Operations is a part of the financial reporting and consolidations function. The position is primarily responsible for:
Ensuring and improving balance sheet hygiene of the operating companies (OpCos) on monthly reporting.
Assist with IFRS 9 platform fee calculations (balance sheet and income statement impact).
System analysis and ensuring that the different systems are aligned on mappings and data integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Implementation







- Support strategy execution in line with the overarching business and functional goals within area of specialisation.
- Prioritise own workload, ensuring interaction with co-workers and other key stakeholders in developing implementation plans and executing them.
- Support the formulation and implementation of Finco’s Finance strategy through financial modelling, analysis, and support.

Operational Delivery

- Assess the hygiene of the OpCos’ balance sheets by reviewing monthly loading and providing suggestions to improve quality.
- Manage the relationship with external stakeholders in respect of platform fees and perform all supporting calculations that flows into the balance sheet and income statement in this regard.
- Assess system integrity by reviewing and reconciling end-to-end OpCo loading from ERP to Group reporting system to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Review and take responsibility for Key Financial Controls within all functional areas managed.
- Promote Finance Policies and work with the business to ensure solutions are always achieved within policy constraints.






- Ensure compliance to local regulations and laws within Financial Operations departments’ scope of responsibilities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.
- Seek to automate manual controls, processes and instil best practice.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education:

- 3-year Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Accounting
- Post-graduate degree (Accounting) and/or equivalent job-related experience

Experience:







- MUST 4 - 5 years of experience in finance Operations / Accounting environment
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Financial Accounting/Management and Business Planning in a competitive multinational entity
- MUST have Knowledge and understanding of risk, control, and auditing methodologies
- 3-5 years of experience within a telecommunication environment recommended
- Experience working across global locations/ regions and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges
- Experience in continuous improvements through the implementation of best practices (Finance)
- Experience in finance leading practices and trends and ability to generate practical solutions for complex conceptual and strategic problem

Package & Remuneration
- Salary:





R35 000 per month (non-negotiable)
- Contract: 6 Months
- Location: West Rand
