Role Purpose:
The Marketing Specialist role is to work closely between the Executive team, People lead and Operations team to develop and execute marketing initiatives that ensure we attract new customers, and new talent while ensuring our existing people and customers are excited about who we are and stay informed on key company initiatives.
What are we looking for:
We are looking for a result-oriented marketer or trade marketer that has a strong understanding of the Sales and Merchandising industry; an individual that will work with grit and determination to uncover the great things we do around here and turn it into market challenging social media; external and internal communication.
How will the successful candidate be evaluated; what will the success look like?
Success will be measured by how well our people are excited and informed by our living from inside out campaigns; by the quality and leading social media and the external market face (branding presentations, client communications)
What is the reporting structure:
The role reports directly into our Business Development Executive and works closely with the Group CEO and Group Head of HR. The successful candidate will manage the marketing budget and work closely with key marketing suppliers (Agency, PR, and Production companies)
Desired Qualification & Experience:
- Matric
- Diploma or Degree
- Preferences: Sales & Merchandising experience, FMCG Retail experience and/or Service industry experience (e.g. Bidvest, Hotel & Casino)
Essential Competencies:
- Project measurement
- Corporate influence
- Presentation Building
- Build a sales argument
Useful Competencies:
- Adobe
- Canva
- SEO
- Social Media activation and analytics
- Google analytics
- Highly competent on MS office suite
