Assistant Maintenance Manager - Luxury Hotel - Cape Town

Kendrick Rcruitment is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of a luxury hotel's Maintenance department andupkeep of the hotel and grounds. This role will focus on all building maintenance projects and the implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, all while minimising costs without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Implement and manage a proactive preventative maintenance program.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Environmental Laws.
- Utilise labor efficiently while managing costs effectively.






- Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities and manage stock control systems.

Qualifications:

- NQF Level 5 certificate as an electrical and/or mechanical technician or equivalent trade test certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general maintenance, building facilities management, or construction project management, with at least 3 years in a maintenance management role within a 4/5-star hotel environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and possess solid financial acumen.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards and environmental impact controls.
- Technical knowledge of hotel maintenance, including air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of hot water reticulation and pumped sewer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Xhosa and/or Afrikaans is an advantage.

including weekends and public holidays.
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
