A leading luxury and lodge group based in Bryanston, Johannesburg is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Marketing Manager with a passion for brand development, strategic marketing, and social media.
(Please note: candidates are required to be in Johannesburg to attend face-to-face interviews)
Minimum Requirements:
- A completed tertiary qualification in Marketing and/or Communications.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ marketing management experience (luxury hospitality).
- Own reliable transport.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- PR and copywriting skills are an asset.
- Active on social media with a deep understanding of current trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and implement strategic marketing and brand initiatives for the lodge group and individual properties.
- Oversee the in-house marketing team and external partners, ensuring seamless execution of marketing strategies.
- Coordinate and manage social media strategies, developing engaging content to grow audiences and increase engagement.
- Identify relevant media and influencers aligned with the brand’s communication strategies.
- Manage the creation and delivery of marketing collateral – including direct marketing, advertising, press releases, and sales presentations.
- Monitor the performance of campaigns to ensure they remain relevant and impactful.
- Conduct market analysis and keep track of competitive activities.
- Maintain an efficient workflow system to meet deadlines for all marketing projects.
- Allocate resources effectively, monitor their usage, and report on progress.
- Ensure smooth communication across teams and coordinate meetings with internal and external marketing providers.
- Work with agencies to create timelines and project plans for future campaigns.
- Own the quality control process, ensuring all marketing outputs meet required standards.
- Manage and maintain a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive client database.
- Write and distribute press releases to relevant media.
