Infrastructure Procurement Professional (SPO)
Requirements
- A relevant BEng or BSc (Eng) engineering
degree. Registered as a Professional Engineer
with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Alternatively eligible for registration as a Professional
Engineer with ECSA within 2 years.
OR BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying. Registered as a Professional
Quantity Surveyor with the Council for the Quantity Surveying
Profession (SACQSP). Alternatively eligible for registration as a
Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQCP within 2 years.
- 5 - 8 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience in public sector procurement.
- A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
- To provide technical input and advisory services
to departments City wide.
- Advising multidisciplinary project teams in terms
of infrastructure procurement best practises through
performing investigations, reviews, involvement in designs
as well as project management and contract management focus
areas.
- Developing an understanding for construction goal
outcomes required and providing clarity on the procurement
path to achieving the most suitable contract awards.
- Providing legislative and regulatory guidance to
the organisation’s technical project teams to ensure
change management, risk mitigation and procurement
related compliance in the pursuit of service delivery,
quality and value for money.
