Duties & Responsibilities
The successful incumbent must have the ability to work accurately and independently and have a good attendance and timekeeping record. The position could involve shift work.
Duties of the position include, amongst others:
1. Machine components according to drawing and Control Plan specifications.
2. Ensure quality of products by ensuring components are gauged according to gauge frequency defined on process control plans.
3. Operate equipment efficiently and effectively for the length of the shift.
4. Complete all process paperwork as required.
5. Change inserts as and when required adhering to defined tool life frequencies.
6. Ensure effective control of non-conforming products.
7.
Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in line with QMS and EMS requirements.
8. Wear the required PPE and follow safety instructions at all times.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The incumbent must have:
- A minimum of a Grade 12
- At least one years’ experience as a CNC Operator with Measurement equipment experience (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong disciplined approach to completing tasks and target driven
