Position: Business Development Executive

Reports To: General Manager Personal Underwriting & Account Management
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving growth in the personal lines business by managing and converting company-provided leads into new business opportunities.
This role focuses on client acquisition and account management, without cold calling, as all leads are supplied by the company.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Management: Engage with provided leads, build relationships, and assess their insurance needs to offer suitable solutions.
Client Acquisition:
Convert leads into new business by presenting personal insurance products tailored to client needs.
Account Management: Build strong client relationships, ensuring smooth onboarding and satisfaction.
Product Knowledge: Stay updated on insurance products and industry trends to provide expert advice.
Sales Strategy: Work with the Sales Manager to implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
Reporting: Track and report on sales activities and performance.
Customer Service: Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure retention.
Qualifications: Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Certifications: Insurance-related certifications (e.g., NQF Level 4, RE5) are advantageous.
Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with a deep understanding of personal insurance products.
Personal Attributes: Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in managing data and documents.
Proactive: Ability to foresee and address risks.
Customer-Focused:
Strong commitment to providing excellent service.
