WET PLANT COORDINATOR

TITLE: Wet Plant Coordinator

AREA: Brakpan (Gauteng)

DEPARTMENT: Wet Plant

EMPLOYMENT: Permanent

REPORTS TO: Plant / Factory Manager

QUALIFICATIONS : Chemical Degree (or equivalent). Proven experience in a Supervisory role within a wet plant or simmilar industrial environment, with a thorough understanding of plant operations and processes.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Wet Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the wet plant, ensuring the efficient and safe processing of materials. This role includes managing staff, monitoring production processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job-related activities include,





but are not limited to:

1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the wet plant, ensuring efficient production.
2. Monitor the processing of materials to ensure quality and consistency.
3. Oversee the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
4. Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
5. Lead, train, and evaluate plant operators and other staff members.
6. Schedule and assign tasks to plant personnel.
7. Address any performance issues and provide coaching and development opportunities.
8. Ensure all plant activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
9. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
10. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage waste disposal.
11. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products quality standards are maintained.
12. Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and safety activities.

Investigate and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies.
14. Generate and submit daily production reports and monthly plant performance reports to management.
15. Document any incidents, accidents, or equipment failures.
16. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
17. Stay informed about industry best practices and new technologies.
18. Liaise with other departments such as logistics, quality control, and maintenance.
19. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
20. Ensure clear and timely communication of any issues or changes in plant operations.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

1. This position is based in an industrial factory with automated machinery.
2.





This position must be medically fit and mobile.

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements and qualifications for this position include:

1. Chemical Degree or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a wet plant or similar industrial environment, with a thorough understanding of plant operations and processes.
3. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Proficiency in using plant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
