Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice 425, or equivalent qualification, i.e., diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse.Post basic Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science qualification with the duration of at least 1 year.A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing.Diploma/Degree in Nursing Management will be an added advantage.At least 5 years of the period referred above must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining the one year post-basic qualification in Theatre Operating Nursing Science.South African Nursing Council annual practicing certificate.Valid EB drivers license, Computer literacy.Strong leadership, good communication, and sound interpersonal skills are necessary.Duties:Co-ordination of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided within set standards and a professional/legal framework.Effectively manage the utilization and supervision of Human, Financial and Service resources.Co-ordination of the provision of effective training and research.Provision of effective support to Nursing services.Maintain Professional growth/ethical standards and development of self and subordinates.Notes:Applications should be submitted strictly online at the following E-Recruitment portal: http://professionaljobcenter.gpg.gov.za.
