informed decisions faster.Productionise insights to be consumed across team (focus on building reusable data assets).To build an understanding of various business domains and relevant products, to address queries and execute analytical tasks.Minimum EducationA relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or StatisticsGrade 12 National Certificate / VocationalIdeal or Preferred EducationCertification in Business Analysis or SimilarKnowledge and ExperienceAt least 5+ years' experience in a similar Business Intelligence Analyst or equivalent Data role (Data Analyst, etc.); including experience in Data Analytics, BI methods and tools, Data Warehousing, and the Data Product Life CycleA good understanding of Database Management and Data MiningETL (extraction, transform, load) data flow, and traceabilityAnalysing, identifying, quantifying, and subsequently delivering value on how to solve business challenges using complex data setsBuilding Data Visualisations using tools such as Power BIExperience in data quality and incident managementQuality assuring and oversight of the work of others.Advanced SQL skills:
Using complex SQL to prepare and analyse data (e.g., indexes, query plans, foreign key constraints, common table expressions, etc.)Coding skills and performing code reviewsDocumentation (going to stakeholders and doing documentation - running projects)Business requirements / requirements gatheringAgile project management methodology and experience with tools such as JiraData privacy and security regulations and best practicesDesign thinkingThe Data Product Life Cycle (DPLC)Data managementIdeal Experience / KnowledgePrevious experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst within the Banking / Financial sectorStrong programming/coding:
Ability to use scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulationWorking with data on Cloud platforms (such as AWS or Microsoft Azure)Change management principles and practices, and change management methodology (ADKAR)Using low/no code AutoML on modelling tools such as Power BI or AWS SagemakerLifetime value analysis, propensity modelling, journey mapping, and root cause analysisUser Experience (UX) reviews through customer interactions / product servicesAutomation using software robots built on platforms such as UiPath or AlteryxBasic knowledge and experience in using Version Control (Git)Having relevant industry certifications (e.g.,
