Desired Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated passion and dedication to the culinary arts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
- Effective communication abilities with colleagues, superiors, and guests.
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification and completion of 6 months formal chef’s training.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Commis Chef in a 4*/5* establishment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is advantageous.
- Physical and mental resilience to excel in a demanding, high-pressure role.
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks and projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of dishes to exacting 5-star standards, accommodating guest preferences and dietary needs.
- Contribution of innovative ideas to enhance revenue streams and business opportunities.
- Support to the Sous Chef in menu development, trend analysis, and implementation.
- Oversight of stock levels, costing, rotation, and inventory management.
- Supervision, motivation, training, and performance management of kitchen staff.
- Maintenance of Operating Equipment (OE) to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Adherence to stringent health, safety, cleanliness, recycling, pest control, and waste management protocols.

- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.
