The successful candidate will join the Payments Team which is responsible for all payments products spanning across Card and Electronic Payments. The specific team the candidate will join has a focus on the data strategy, forecasting and predictive modelling, insights and business analysis, monitoring and reporting.The successful candidate should have at least 5 years' experience working with SQL in a data or insights environment and will work with a dynamic team within an evolving landscape. The candidate will be required to deliver insights that support data driven decision-making which will lead to tangible business value and the improvement of all operational efficiencies.Purpose StatementTo build value for the product line by solving client and business challenges using data.To utilise data and analytical skills and experience to build insights which enable senior decision makers to make better, informed decisions faster.Education (Minimum)A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or StatisticsKnowledge and ExperienceMinimum:At least 5+ years' experience in a similar business intelligence analyst roleExperience and knowledge of the ETL (extraction, transform, load) data flowExperience in identifying, quantifying, and subsequently delivering value on how to solve business challenges using dataExperience in analysing complex data sets to solve business challengesExperience in working with data on cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft AzureExperience in building data visualisations using tools such as Power BIA good understanding of database management, data warehousing, data mining and data visualisation.Experience with stakeholder engagement including senior managementExperience in data quality and incident managementUnderstanding of agile project management and experience with tools such as JiraQuality assuring and oversight of the work of others.Knowledge:Understanding of agile project management and experience with tools such as JiraKnowledge and experience in using complex SQL to prepare and analyse dataKnowledge and understanding of data privacy and security regulations and best practicesIdeal:Experience as a business intelligence analyst within the Banking sectorKnowledge of change management principles and practicesKnowledge and experience in using low/no code AutoML on modelling tools such as Power BI or AWS SagemakerKnowledge and experience in change management methodology (ADKAR)Knowledge and experience in lifetime value analysis, propensity modelling, journey mapping, and root cause analysisApplied knowledge of User Experience (UX) reviews through customer interactionsKnowledge and experience in automation using software robots built on platforms such as UiPath or AlteryxProgramming/Coding: Ability to use scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulationBasic knowledge and experience in using Version Control (Git)SkillsCommercial Thinking SkillsFacilitation SkillsNumerical Reasoning skillsPresentation SkillsAdditional InformationClear criminal and credit recordCapitec is committed to diversity; applications to this position will strictly be considered in support of our employment equity goals.Capitec Bank is an authorised financial services provider (FSP 46669) and registered credit provider (NCRCP13).
