A leader in the security and access control industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Johannesburg sales team. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, mentor the team, and implement strategies to ensure we achieve our sales targets and maintain our industry leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
*Sales Leadership and Strategy:*
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed company targets.
- Collaborate with senior management to design action plans that expand our customer base and enhance market presence.
- Identify emerging markets, monitor competition, and adjust strategies to maintain market leadership.
- Analyse sales performance data, interpret trends,
and provide actionable insights for improvement.
*Technical Expertise in Security & Access Control Solutions:*
- Maintain a strong understanding of security systems, access control solutions.
- Ensure that the sales team has up-to-date technical knowledge to confidently discuss and sell the product range.
*Cross-Department Collaboration:*
- Work closely with R&D;, marketing, and customer support teams to align sales strategies with product development and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and identify opportunities for joint initiatives to increase market penetration.
*Customer Relationship Management:*
- Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Address escalated issues efficiently and work proactively to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales and improve customer experience through excellent customer engagement.
*Team Management and Development:*
- Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets.
- Set performance goals, monitor results, and provide regular feedback through structured reviews.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship skills.
- Coordinate with external trainers to ensure the team receives relevant and ongoing training where required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales role, preferably within the security or access control industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data and making strategic decisions.
- Excellent technical understanding of security and access control systems (preferred).
