Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding fintech company based in Cape Town, is revolutionizing financial services across Africa. With a mission to empower individuals through innovative financial solutions, they're seeking a talented Senior Reporting Manager to join their high-performing team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Spearhead the group consolidation process, delivering high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Lead and successfully manage group and local statutory audits, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Drive the implementation of best-in-class reporting practices, propelling the company's financial operations to new heights
- Provide technical accounting leadership,
ensuring ongoing IFRS compliance and developing robust accounting policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting capabilities and drive process improvements
- Design and implement effective controls across the group's processes, adhering to international standards
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Desired Experience & Qualification
- CA(SA) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in reporting and technical accounting, preferably from a Big 4 or leading audit firm background
- Experience with multi-national and multi-currency group structures, particularly across Africa, UK, or other Holdco territories
- Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to draft and implement accounting policy guidance
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
- Passion for driving change and implementing best practices in financial operations
