Introduction
Amka, a leading manufacturing company, is hiring a Marketing and Sales Specialist for the Export team in Africa. We seek a Marketing Specialist with expertise in brand-building and a proven track record in driving growth and market share.
The role focuses on maximizing brand performance, coordinating marketing strategies for the International Business Unit, and aligning with corporate goals. The specialist will also support the NPD process by guiding formula development, packaging, and pricing decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Define and develop KPIs for performance measurement.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of categories, customer/consumer needs, and competition,
focusing on exports to Africa.
• Analyze competitors and develop strategies to counteract their efforts.
• Coordinate brand planning and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Support and advise Managers, traveling with them to assist with campaigns and sales efforts.
• Train the international sales team on marketing strategies.
• Ensure timely reporting and provide marketing services.
• Stay updated on product development trends to maintain competitiveness.
• Assist with product launches, covering communication, merchandising, and training.
• Collaborate with marketing to align brand activities with trade channels.
• Develop and implement 4P to 4C strategies with Key Account teams.
• Target co-op advertising and trade promotions to maximize ROI.
• Manage the marketing budget and ensure customer contributions are met.
• Establish category management by channel.
• Manage joint marketing opportunities with customers.
• Continuously analyze data to generate insights for customer growth.
• Participate in shopper research, sales and marketing meetings, and monthly forecasting.
• Monitor competitive activities and recommend response strategies.
• Address sales problems and opportunities, initiating action as needed.
• Ensure clear communication with all departments (Marketing, Sales, Agents, Merchandisers).
• Build strong partnerships with key channels, field sales, and customer contacts to drive in-store execution

Desired Experience & Qualification
Please note the below in NON NEGOTIABLE
• MUST HAVE: Knowledge of the African markets
• MUST HAVE: At least 5 years experience as a Brand Manager
• MUST HAVE a Marketing Degree or IMM Diploma.
