Introduction
in2food is a premium food and beverage manufacturer specialising in private label and own brands. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Logistic Manager/Buyer to join our dynamic team. This position requires the individual to manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory. To monitor and manage budgets, as well as negotiating deals with suppliers, and taking inventory of current products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, direct and co – ordinate the activities in the Logistics department
Managing communication between suppliers (Internal and external), the DC and the various Nibbly stores
Manage the maintaining of the vehicle fleet
Oversee the timeous despatch and expediting orders daily
Ensuring that the SOP and work standards are adhered to
Managing and ensuring that the vehicles leave the DC at agreed departure times
Execute the activities of buying
Setting up forecasts for stock with suppliers
Placing of timeous orders with suppliers
People/Relationship Management
Maintains and updates rosters every week
Inspire others to their best
Manages department and all discipline
Desired Experience & Qualification
1-3 years' experience in logistics environment
National Diploma in Logistics/Procurement or relevant field
