- Permanent, full-time role – 35 hours per week.

City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an experienced and motivated Parks Operations Lead to join our Community and Recreation Service Unit, and lead the team that provides on the ground services to the hundreds of passive and active reserves across the City, including parks, sportsgrounds, playgrounds and floral displays.

As our Parks Operations Lead, you will develop and coordinate a program of works that ensures high quality open spaces are provided for the community,





ensuring operational teams deliver high quality diverse horticulture and greenkeeping services across the local government area. You’ll work collaboratively across the Community and Recreation Service Unit, and with key internal and external stakeholders (including sports clubs) to support the provision of operational services to the city-wide network of active and passive parks.

With demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team, you will lead, develop and promote a positive team culture that aligns with CN's values through staff empowerment, optimising the contribution of individuals and teams, developing pride in delivery of services for our community and above all; creating a safe work environment where we look out for each other.
