Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to develop structural designs that meet project requirements and codes.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software and tools.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and review technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 8 years of proven experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as AutoDesk products, Prokon, MS Office and MS Project.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with bridge design, bridge inspections is a plus.
