Durban North
Our international manufacturing plant in Durban North invites Trade Tested Toolmakers, living in or around KZN to apply for the Toolmaker vacancy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fault finding and effective problem solving performed on moulds that must be serviced
- Stripping, cleaning, assembling of moulds
- Communication to internal customers regarding problems and solutions on moulds serviced
- Ability to safely operate a manual milling machine, surface grinder and lathes
- Operate & program CNC Milling machines
- Call outs ( repairs )
- Safety
- Update and maintain mould health reports on DMS
- Maintenance and assembly of Moulds
- Monitor and manage stock levels and consumables
- Effectively work with suppliers to maintain mould health
- Planning mould services with production planner to ensure mould availability
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES, BEHAVIOURS AND ATTITUTES:
- Must have good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Must have good attention to detail.
Live and and aroung Durban (North) or prepare to relocate on own cost.
Clean criinal record
Own Car / Drivers License or reliable transport to Durban North
Excellent computer skills - MS Office
Fit and energetic
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric (N3)
- National Accredited Toolmaker Qualification
- Injection moulding experience advantageous
- Read measuring instruments precisely
- Must have knowledge of all equipment related to the trade
- Operate & program CNC machines.
- Using Computer Aided Drawings ( CAD )
EXPERIENCE = 5-10 years post trade test TOOLMAKING experience in manufacturing industry
