The role of the Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the customer needs are met along the customer journey, as well as providing the highest caliber of service and experience to the customer in order to grow our client's on Trade in Gauteng.

Main Purpose/Objectives of the Job:

Nurture and develop relationships with your allocated customer base

Developing the financial shape of your allocated customer base

Sourcing and growing new customers in the specified area

Establishing and supporting our client''s brand presence within outlets

Activation of required promotions and the execution of marketing activities as needed

Supporting operational efficiencies







Providing continuous feedback loops to enable business innovation and improvements.

The role requires solid sales experience, a valid drivers license, computer literacy

(Microsoft Office suite), industry and product sales knowledge, commercial business acumen and strong negotiation skills. The Business Development Manager is required to display and use skills such as self-motivation, a drive for results, excellent peer relationships, customer centricity, positive mindset & problem-solving, agility, and collaborative communication.

Education and Experience:

Graduate

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

Comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and restaurant environment

Understanding of budgets, targets, and strategic applications to achieve these

Solid negotiating skills

Competencies required:

Initiative-taker with good attention to detail and ownership

Excellent analytical person and tenacious, robust, and effective under pressure

Matured and Strong communicator and ability to work across functions

Collaborator: enthusiasm,





good energy and a positive got it attitude

Personal Characteristics:

Strong admin temperament (initiative-taker, go getter attitude, analytical person, self-reliant, goal orientated, work across barriers)

Personal skills sets (Excellent communication skills, diligence, and accuracy, organizing and prioritizing)
