Our client, a data-driven software communication platform built to drive profitability in Maritime by enabling teams to make better decisions, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their team. Their software supercharges the world's most vital industries with an innovative all-in-one email platform that connects to your core work tools to drive efficiencies, save time, and transform business performance.
This is a management level role and is best suited to someone who combines technical skills, drive, humility, curiosity and good interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the company Head of Accounting and CFO as part of the team, managing the company's global accounting, tax,
financial operations and compliance functions.
- Prepare and review financial reporting, including ownership of the record to report process.
- Work with global colleagues to ensure effective and compliant AR, AP, Treasury.
- Be responsible for global Tax processes.
- Improve financial controls and processes.
- Prepare and implement technical accounting matters under IFRS.
- Prepare and review required government remittances.
- Work with external auditors to manage international and group audits.
- Be a trusted business partner and advisor to other departments.
- Design, implement and maintain improvements to the company's financial reporting systems, including software implementations.
- Prepare and review key internal and external financial reports.
- Be responsible for and drive key finance projects to completion.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience with multi-entity financial audits
- Experience in technology, retail, manufacturing a must
- Experience working with IFRS or US GAAP
- Professional qualification [CA(SA), ICAEW or similar]
- Ambitious, intellectually curious and motivated to be part of building and scaling a global software company
- Humble, low-ego and able to build trusted working relationships cross-functionally
